Your front walkway is one of the first sections of real estate a buyer will set
foot on when coming to see your home. So, it makes sense to make that
pathway to your front door as appealing as possible.
The obvious way is to make it as clean and clear as you can. Ensure there
are no obstacles in the way, such as overhanging branches, kid's toys, or
potted plants. What you want is a clear, unobstructed and pleasant walk to
your main entranceway.
If your walkway needs a deeper cleaning, consider a power wash. There are
special detergents available that are designed specifically for stone, asphalt
or cement walkways and other outdoor surfaces.
A deep cleaning isn't a major project. In most cases, the job can be done
within an hour. Yet, the result can be stunning.

City of Calgary, February 1, 2021 –

January sales were the highest they have been for the month since 2014, as housing market momentum from the end of 2020 carried over into the start of 2021.

Sales activity improved across all product types and across all price ranges.

“Discount lending rates are exceptionally low, which is likely attracting all types of buyers back into the market,” said CREB® chief economist Ann-Marie Lurie.

“New listings in the market were also slightly higher than what was available over the past two months, which is providing more options to purchasers.”

January’s new listings were 2,246 relative to the 1,208 sales in the market, causing inventories to edge up over December levels. These types of movements are typical…

Calgary, Jan. 26, 2021 – In 2020, housing markets across the country surprised many with a stronger-than-expected rebound in the second half of the year despite record-high unemployment rates and significant job losses.

Calgary did not hit record-high sales or prices in the third or fourth quarters, but still posted some of the strongest sales relative to the past five years. This was nearly enough to offset the initial losses recorded during the first shutdown caused by the pandemic.

“It is expected some of the momentum recorded at the end of 2020 will continue into 2021, fueled by exceptionally low lending rates and pent-up demand,” said Ann-Marie Lurie, CREB® Chief Economist.

“While sales are expected to rise by nearly five per cent on…

When you think about selling your property, do you dwell on the possible work
and stress involved? You're not alone. Many homeowners share the same
concerns.
But it doesn't have to be that way.
In fact, there are plenty of ways to add some fun, anticipation, and even a
sense of adventure to the selling process. Here are just a few ideas:
1. Plan fun things to do when your home is being shown. That can include
walks, sports activities, or trying something you and your family have
never done before.
2. Declutter for your own benefit. Instead of thinking about decluttering as a
chore required for the sale, focus instead on how much more
comfortable your home will be after decluttering. Studies consistently
show that less clutter reduces stress and increases a sense…
